Jenika L. Taylor, MBA

Macon-Bibb County Government Talent Acquisition Coordinator is Ms. Jenika L. Taylor, MBA. She was born and raised in Griffin, GA. She graduated from Fort Valley State University in 1999 with a B. A degree in Psychology. She has a passion for helping others and her first employment was with the Department of Juvenile Justice as a Correctional officer. During her time with DJJ, she was promoted to a Juvenile Detention Counselor. At this moment in her career, she felt she was finally able to utilize her education and life experiences by providing nurturing guidance for young juvenile offenders. In 2005, her career in Human resources was manifested by first working as a Performance Improvement Coordinator, then a Risk Manager, and lastly Human Resources Manager for a residential treatment facility for adolescents. During her employment with the agency, she obtained her first master’s degree in Health care management. She began working for the former Bibb County Government in March 2011 as an Employment Officer and obtain her second professional degree Master of Business Administration-Human Resource Management in 2013. Since the consolidation of Macon-Bibb County Government in 2014, under the guidance of many leadership personnel, her role as the recruiter for all positions within the government has been instrumental in filling key positions. With over 16 years of Human Resources experience, she enjoys every aspect of her role. Ms. Taylor is an active member of the Middle GA SHRM chapter and a national member of the Society of Human Resources Management. In her personal time, she has an active role as a member of the local chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, journaling, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
