The Office of Communications is responsible for developing and maintaining communication strategies between the Macon-Bibb County government and the community it serves. Communications includes:
Working together, these functions are part of a two-way communication program designed to educate the community about improvement efforts by Macon-Bibb and partner organizations, and provide a way for people to provide feedback and have their questions answered and concerns addressed.

The Office also works directly with local, regional, and national media on coverage, as well as managing social media channels, to better educate people about the newly consolidated government.

Through MaconBibbTV, the Office of Communications provides a variety of video services to improve government transparency, feature the work of our departments and partners to improve the community, and more.
All Macon-Bibb Commission Meetings are streamed live online at www.maconbibb.tv and on our Facebook page, and we often Facebook Live events out in the community. Visit MaconBibbTV for all of our feature videos!

Requests can be made and issues reported via Macon-Bibb County’s website and/or the free mobile application. People without online or mobile capabilities can report issues by calling Customer Service at 478-751-7400. SeeClickFix should only be used to report non-emergency issues; if a situation is an emergency, dial 9-1-1.
SeeClickFix is again ranking cities based on the size of cities and the number of open and closures in a certain time frame. They release their first quarter rankings for 2018, and Macon-Bibb County was 5th in the country for issues reported (3,104) and 3rd in the country for issues resolved (4,040). A breakdown of requests by department and district is included with the Administrative Update.
The last time SeeClickFix did a monthly ranking announcement was in 2015 and 2016, Macon-Bibb County stayed in the Top 10 in the country for issues resolved. We were ranked 8th in the country for all of calendar year 2015 with 14,015 issues resolved. In calendar year 2017, 15,479 issues were opened and 14,948 (or 97%) were closed.
