What good is a diamond if doesn’t sparkle? Two sets of baseball fields slated for major upgrades are also getting a lighting overhaul. Musco Sports Lighting, LLC will provide the lights for the Freedom Park baseball and softball fields, as well as the lighting for the new multi-purpose fields at Central City Park. Installation of said lighting will be provided by Middle Georgia Outdoor Lighting, Inc. The costs of these projects will be paid for with SPLOST (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) money.

The lights for Central City Park will cost $392,000 and the installation will cost $116,500. 

The lights for Freedom Park will cost $142,000 and the installation will cost $84,000.
