Early voting for Special Election starts this week

Advance early voting for the Special Election officially began on Monday, December 29, 2025, and will continue through Friday, January 16, 2026. The election is being held to fill the State Senate District 18 seat.

Early voting will be available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In addition, voters may cast ballots on two Saturdays, January 3 and January 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be no voting on New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2026.

All advance early voting will take place at the Board of Elections main office, located at 3661 Eisenhower Parkway, Suite MB101, Macon, GA 31206. The entrance is on the Mercer University side of the building, near the military recruitment area.

The final day to apply for an absentee ballot by mail is Friday, January 9, 2026. Election Day for the State Senate District 18 Special Election is Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Voters must bring a valid ID to vote.
