For the second year, Santa Claus and his team spent an evening before he traveled around the world bringing joy and cheer to children around Macon-Bibb County.

This was made possible thanks to District 2 Commissioner Paul Bronson, the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, C-QUL, the Melanated Community Stimulation Project, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

“We were able to bring Santa Claus to them before he got busy delivering gifts as a great way to share laughter, joy, and pride in our city,” said Commissioner Bronson. “We got to work with Santa and his friends to show every neighborhood they are appreciated and valued.”

“Christmas is about so much more than gifts, and this was an opportunity to share some of that goodness with everyone! It also added some levity to this time of year, which can be hard on a lot of people,” said Andrea Cooke with C-QUL and Macon Mental Health Matters. “In order for us to have a quality life, we must care for each another. And this is a great way to share joy and love and kindness all over our community.”

Santa was very thankful for the assist by the Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office so the reindeer could rest. They made stops at Felton Homes, Buck Melton Community Center, Pendleton Homes, Brookdale Resource Center, Rosa Jackson, Booker T. Washington, Baconsfield Apartments, and the Macon Christmas Lights Extravaganza.
