There are two opportunities to provide input into the future of the Macon Action Plan and its projects.

Opportunity for community to have input on Linear Park

Macon-Bibb County and the Pleasant Hill Neighborhood Organization are teaming up to give people an opportunity to be part of how to make Linear Park a better space. People can come out to the park (401 Monroe Street) on Wednesday, August 23, between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

“We want to give everyone an opportunity to be part of the conversation,” says Tedra Huston with the Pleasant Hill Neighborhood Organization. “This park is meant for everyone in our community to enjoy, and we want to make sure their suggestions are heard.”

This is a family-friendly event with activities, treats, and a raffle for everyone. If you can’t make it, there will be another opportunity to share your ideas for the park at the next Pleasant Hill Neighborhood Organization on Saturday, September 9, at 2:00 p.m. at the L.H. Williams Community Center (325 Pursley Street). You can also stop by the Booker T. Washington Community Center (401 Monroe Street)before September 9. The input is vital and is part of the Macon Action Plan.

If you have any questions, email Tedra Huston at tedrah@mbccea.com.

Open House for Macon Action Plan 3.0

Be part of the conversation that will shape the community you live in! There is a Macon Action Plan (MAP) 3.0 Open House happening at Fall Line Brewing Co. (567 Plum Street) on Thursday, August 24, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.

“The extreme success of the first two versions of MAP is due to the robust feedback and input from our community,” says Urban Development Authority (UDA) Executive Director Alex Morrison. “We are thrilled to start a new version of the plan with the community to build off the incredible momentum we have. Macon’s process is a national leader in planning and implementation built on collaboration.”

This is an opportunity to hear about what is next for Macon’s Downtown and Intown Neighborhood. The event is open to everyone, and snacks and drinks will be provided. The first beer will be on the MAP’s account!

You must RSVP by Thursday, August 17, by clicking here. If you can’t make it, there is still an opportunity to share your thoughts online by visiting https://bit.ly.macon-action-plan.
