The Macon-Bibb United Boxing Club is hosting a boxing tournament at Freedom Park on Saturday, February 11. Entry is just $10 (children under 5 are free), doors open at noon, and the competition begins at 1:00 p.m.
Competitors are amateur boxers from around Georgia, including nine members of the Macon-Bibb United Boxing Club. Boxers wanting to compete can still register by calling the Club at 478-751-9248. Weigh-in begins that morning at 9:00 a.m.
About Boxing at Freedom Park
With funds from the voter-approved Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST), the gymnasium at Freedom Park was converted into the Bishop Frank Ray Arena, featuring two rings, 600 bleacher seats, new flooring, and more.
