Mayor Miller presents FY27 Budget with continued focus on key infrastructure and strategic growth

On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, Mayor Lester Miller presented the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) Budget for July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027. This year's budget benchmarks a structured transformation in investments across major departments, maintaining expanded capital tracks for public safety systems, data infrastructure modernization, community beautification framework, and recreational facilities. Millage frameworks are structured to align smoothly with upcoming county updates once final validation across the local tax digest benchmarks are processed.

"Our multi-year initiatives have allowed us to optimize systemic budgeting metrics, ensuring that our priority growth targets remain funded through balanced allocations and voter-approved OLOST avenues," says Mayor Miller. "I want to express appreciation to our departmental directors and finance administrators for engineering a forward-looking structure that addresses real neighborhood priorities."

Since 2021, corporate improvements and commission support have driven systematic enhancements to core community services.
