Bibb County Schools participated in United Way of Central Georgia’s annual Read for the Record Day on Thursday, October 27. 

Dozens of volunteers went out to different schools in our County to read the book ‘Nigel and the Moon’ by Antwan Eady to different classes. This is all in an effort to promote the power of reading and the importance of reading quality literature at an early age. 

Our Communications team took a trip to Vineville Academy of the Arts to read to several classes!

Mayor Lester Miller also presented a proclamation to United Way and the Bibb County School District claiming October 27, as Read for the Record Day in Macon-Bibb County. You can read the full proclamation here.
