Macon-Bibb County Honors Ta’Shawn Poole with Proclamation Day

On Tuesday, February 17, the Macon-Bibb County Commission proudly recognized Howard High School standout Ta’Shawn Poole with a proclamation day named in his honor. As Howard High’s first All-American football player in school history, Poole has achieved a milestone that reflects both exceptional talent and extraordinary dedication. In recognition of his accomplishments and the pride he brings to the community, February 17, 2026 was officially declared Ta’Shawn Poole Day. Poole was also invited to compete in the Under Armour Next All-American Game, an honor reserved for the nation’s most elite high school athletes.

Currently a junior, Poole is widely regarded as one of the nation’s top football prospects, earning multiple scholarship offers from prestigious Power 4 programs, including the University of Georgia, Ohio State University, the University of Tennessee, Florida State University, and the University of Michigan. His continued success on the field and his representation of Howard High School and Macon-Bibb County underscore a truly remarkable achievement, one that has inspired pride throughout the entire community!
