The World Health Organization considers Pediatric Obesity one of the most serious public health challenges facing us today.

September is recognized as Pediatric Obesity Awareness Month and Mayor Lester Miller signed a proclamation to bring attention to the matter. Dr. Henry Ficklin presented it to Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital. It outlines what parents need to be aware of to keep their children healthy and safe as they grow.
