Beginning Friday, April 10, the Macon-Bibb Recreation Department will begin showing free movies in Luther Williams Stadium in Central City Park. The first movie shown will be Guardians of the Galaxy and will begin at approximately 8:15 p.m.

Families can bring chairs, blankets, and coolers of food and drink. There will be food and beverages for sale on site, as well. Alcohol is not permitted.

Movies will be shown April through June on the second and fourth Friday. In the event of rain, movies will be cancelled. These events have been made possible, thanks to generous funding from the Knight Foundation.

The schedule of movies, so far, is: 

 April 10 – Guardians of the Galaxy 

April 24 – Toy Story 

May 8 – Despicable Me 

May 22 – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 

June 12 – The Lego Movie 

June 26 – Wizard of Oz
