Valerie Wynn, Macon-Bibb County Commissioner for District 1, will hold her first public forum on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Mabel White Baptist Church (1415 Bass Road). This will be her first public forum as a Commissioner, and she is inviting people from all districts to attend.

“I want to give people a chance to ask me questions about our government and community, and for me to hear what they’re most concerned about,” says Commissioner Wynn. “We are facing some difficult challenges, and it will take our Commission working together with people to overcome them.”
In attendance at the forum to help answer questions will be Engineering Department Director David Fortson, Solid Waste Director Kevin Barkley, and Emergency Management Agency Director Spencer Hawkins.
Since Macon-Bibb County was created on January 1, 2014, Commissioners have routinely held public forums to provide people an update and give them a chance to ask questions. This will be Commissioner Wynn’s first forum since becoming a Commissioner earlier this year, and she has made a point to attend many community events.
“I believe we need to stay in close contact with the people we serve to make sure our decisions are well-informed and are made in the best interests of our community,” says Commissioner Wynn.
