Veterans Day is Saturday, November 11, 2023, but our government is observing the day on Friday, November 10, 2023, to honor and recognize the people who protect and serve our Country. This means all Macon-Bibb County Government Offices will be closed on Friday, November 10. The Fire Department, Sheriff’s Office, E911, and Emergency Management Agency will operate as usual.
Our Convenience Centers at 11t Street and Fulton Mill Road will be closed that Friday, but reopen Saturday, November 11. The Convenience Center on Ninadel Drive is open Saturday and Sunday. Trash and recycling pick-up will not be disrupted. Ryland Environmental will remain operational throughout the week.
