Macon-Bibb promotes Christmas Tree, curbside recycling

The Solid Waste Department is supporting the Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Commission with its annual “Bring One for the Chipper” program, which recycles Christmas trees. This year’s event will be held Saturday, January 2, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. behind Luther Williams Field in Central City Park.

People can also sign up for Macon-Bibb County’s new curbside recycling program, which begins January 4, 2016. If they are able, they can pick up a new 65-rolling recycling can and take it home. If their vehicle cannot hold the can, it will be delivered to their home in the next week or two. People unable to attend Bring One to the Chipper and sign up for curbside recycling can use the online or mobile phone app SeeClickFix or call Customer Service at 478-751-7400.
