The meeting will be held at City Hall (700 Poplar Street) inside Commission Chambers and will begin at 5:30 p.m. Speakers include commissioners, Engineering Department Director Charles Brooks, and Traffic Engineer Nigel Floyd.
“We want everyone to be informed and updated about what our Engineering Departments is doing to improve pedestrian safety,” says Commissioner Tillman. “Macon-Bibb has seen a number of accidents and deaths, and the public needs to know their community leadership is working to improve our neighborhoods.”
Among the list of streets to be discussed are Ridge Avenue, Leon Drive, Mumford Road, Hollingsworth Road, and Log Cabin Drive, but the public is invited to bring up other streets if they wish or just attend to learn how they can request additional pedestrian safety measures.
“This is an opportunity for residents to ask questions and bring up any concerns,” says Commissioner Jones. “We hope everyone takes advantage of this opportunity.”
