Thanksgiving government hours, solid waste changes

Macon-Bibb County government offices and the court system will be closed Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25, for Thanksgiving. Emergency and law enforcement services will remain operational, including the Fire Department, Sheriff’s Office, E-911, and EMA.  

Trash and recycling services provided by Ryland Environmental will operate as usual Monday through Wednesday. Thursday and Friday routes will be a day delayed, moving Thursday to Friday and Friday to Saturday.

The Convenience Center on 11th Street will close at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday and reopen Saturday and Sunday for its normal hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The Macon-Bibb Solid Waste Department will address SeeClickFix tickets Monday through Wednesday and be closed Thanksgiving and the day after.
