The Macon-Bibb County Tax Commissioner’s Office will be holding two tax relief seminars on Thursday, March 10, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Both sessions will be held in Commission Chambers at Government Center (700 Poplar Street).

The public is invited to attend a seminar and learn about available homestead exemptions and alternate payment solutions. Representatives from the Office will be available to help people with their homestead application and answer questions about alternate payment options.

“This is an opportunity for people to learn how they can save money on their taxes and for people who are struggling to pay back taxes learn about easy ways to pay them down,” says Wade McCord, Interim Tax Commissioner.

For more information, or if you can’t attend the seminars and want to learn more, contact the Tax Commissioner’s Office at 478-621-6500.
