On Friday, October 27, our Fire Department celebrated  the graduation of 14 of its newest firefighters from the Summer 2023 Recruit Class. The graduation ceremony was held at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) and was will live streamed on the Fire Department’s Facebook page.

“We are excited to announce the next outstanding group of fire recruits who will serve our community with the utmost dignity, pride, and dedication,” said Fire Chief Shane Edwards.

This is the second class of recruits to go through intensive training at our newest Fire Training Complex.

The graduation ceremony featured a presentation of colors, National Anthem, invocation, and multiple speakers. Each Firefighter took the oath of office and be sworn in by Fire Chief Edwards.
