On Tuesday, October 15, Commissioner Stanley Stewart was officially sworn into his District 3 seat in front of family and friends.  

“I am extremely grateful to serve in this capacity, serve the people of East Macon and Macon overall,” said Commissioner Stewart. “I truly believe that by working together, we can make a community for all!” 

He was voted in earlier this year to take the seat next year, but since Commissioner Elaine Lucas stepped down to run for the Macon Water Authority Board, Stewart stepped in to finish up the term.
