Staff Spotlight: Raven Alston

This week we are shining our Staff Spotlight on someone who has worked hard to move up in her department the last eight years. Raven Alston was recently promoted to Systems Specialist at the Superior Court Clerk’s Office.

Raven started working for the Clerk’s Office in 2013 as a General Clerk and quickly realized she wanted to learn as much as possible about her department. Throughout the years, she earned different positions such as Deputy Clerk in the Civil department, Front Counter Lead Supervisor, and Senior Clerk.

Recently, she enrolled at Strayer University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. This led to her recent promotion where she will be able to assist her colleagues with any technology questions they or the public may have. Her new position as Systems Specialist serves as a liaison between her department and the IT Department.

“I’m a people person. I love helping people,” said Raven. “I always try to go above and beyond with helping the citizens of Macon-Bibb County, but I like being able to help people that I work with, to try to improve themselves and inspire them. I like to remind them that everything we do here, we do with a purpose.”

Congratulations, Raven Alston! We are so proud to have you on #TeamMaconBibb!
