Lake Tobesofkee is inviting the community to celebrate Independence Day with its 29th Annual Sparks Over the Park fireworks show on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Gates at all Lake Tobesofkee parks, including Claystone, Sandy Beach, and Arrowhead, will open at 8:00 a.m. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy everything the lake has to offer, including swimming, boating, picnicking, disc golf, and more. Live music with The Plum Tuckered  band  is from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Sandy Beach Park.

The fireworks show will begin at 9:15 p.m., lighting up the night sky over Lake Tobesofkee. Sandy Beach offers the best view of the show, while visitors at Claystone should plan to watch from the west end of the beach for the best vantage point. Park gates will close at 8:00 p.m. for security purposes, so guests are encouraged to arrive early and plan accordingly.

“We’re expecting a huge crowd of people on the lake and beaches throughout the holiday,” says Lake Tobesofkee Director Donald Bracewell. “It’s going to be a great day for our community to be at the lake, and we know people are going to have a great time enjoying the live music and show.”

Admission to the parks is $3 per person, while children ages 6 and under are admitted free. For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, alcohol and glass containers are not permitted in the parks.

Whether you’re spending the day on the water, enjoying time with family and friends, or watching the fireworks over the lake, Sparks Over the Park continues to be one of Middle Georgia’s favorite Independence Day traditions.
