Daylight savings time ends at 2:00 a.m. Sunday, and The Macon-Bibb County Fire Department wants to remind everyone to change your smoke alarm batteries when you set your clock back. It’s a proven fact- working smoke detectors save lives!

Residents of single-family homes (excluding rental/lease properties and apartments) that do not have a working smoke alarm may contact the Fire Department at (478) 751-9180 to have one installed at no cost.
