For the third year, Macon-Bibb County District 2 Commissioner Paul Bronson – along with the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Macon Mental Health Matters, and other partners – will hold the annual Santa Spotting event. Commissioner Bronson is inviting the community to participate this year by donating items and decorating the vehicles.

“This is a great chance for local organizations like churches and schools to help bring holiday cheer to children in our community,” says Commissioner Bronson. “Let’s pull together and make our public safety vehicles shine with lights and cheer!”

Commissioner Bronson is asking for groups to donate rope lights, large wreaths, red ribbon, and individually wrapped candy canes. Groups can then help decorate the vehicles on Wednesday, December 18, at Fire Department Headquarters from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Santa Spotting will take place on Thursday, December 19, with the parade of public safety vehicles leaving Headquarters at 6:00 p.m. with Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and the Grinch. They will visit the children at:

  • Anthony Homes
  • North Napier Apartments
  • Brookdale Resource Center
  • Booker T. Washington Center
  • Mount Homes
