Pedestrian Fatality Review Board developing safety education campaign

The Commission approved requesting funds from either the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office or Macon-Bibb’s General Fund, and from the Macon-Bibb Board of Health, to fund a campaign aimed at educating the public about pedestrian and traffic safety, in the hopes of putting a stop to deaths along our roadways

As part of its first Forward Together Strategic Plan, the Commission identified Safe Neighborhoods & Safe Communities to be one of its priority Focus Areas. The Pedestrian Fatality Review Board is seeking ways to make roads safer for pedestrians and creating a more walkable city.
