If you still have the old trash or recycling carts (the ones NOT marked with a Ryland logo), please let the Solid Waste Department by reporting it at www.maconbibb.us/seeclickfix or calling 478-751-7400.
This will allow the department each week to map out the best routes to get them picked up as quickly as possible. Please place the old carts empty on the curb once you have reported it.
“Our crews have made several weeks of sweeps around the county, and this will allow us to be more focused and fast about getting the ones that are still remaining,” says Solid Waste Supervisor Maurice Jackson. “I want to thank people for their patience as we stepped in to help get this done more quickly.”
Since February, our crews in Solid Waste, Public Works, and Parks & Beautification – along with a private company – collected more than 38,000 of the old carts since ADS was taking longer to collect them than expected.
