Robert Walker III, CPRP, CPO, Director

Mr. Robert Walker is a native of Columbus, GA, and is a top ten graduate of Central High School (Talbotton, GA). Robert Walker currently serves Macon Bibb County Consolidated Government as the Director of Parks and Recreation. Robert Walker attended Morris Brown College where he studied Therapeutic Recreation. Robert Walker earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University in Recreation Management & Leisure Services and his master’s degree in Sports Management from Jacksonville State University.

Robert Walker has over 20 years of experience worked in the field of recreation working with the Washington Park YMCA, City of Macon, City of Atlanta DPRCA and Macon Bibb County Consolidated Government. During his tenure at Macon Bibb County, he has been very instrumental in creating innovative recreation programming and developing several community partnerships.

Robert Walker is a member of the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association and a member of the National Recreation and Parks Association. Robert Walker is also a graduate of Leadership Macon c/o 2020/2021.
