The Macon-Bibb County Recreation Department reopened its recreation centers to the public on Monday, November 2. There are restrictions in place to help maintain COVID-19 preventative measures, including limits on the number of people in the building, use of PPE, and more.

“I want to thank our recreation staff for the past few months of finding new ways to provide healthy living programming to the public through our online channels, as well as for helping hand out hundreds of thousands of units of PPE to people for free,” says Recreation Director Robert Walker. “We have worked diligently to put preventative measures in place so our staff can safely provide services in person again.”
