Our Commission Meeting on Tuesday, July 19, had an audience filled with champions! Commissioners recognized the Macon Youth Baseball Legends 14u All-Star Team, who recently traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana where they won the 2022 USSSA World Series Championship! The team competed in a six-team tournament where they beat the Jefferson Mustangs to become the champs.  

At the Commission Meeting, Commissioners Elaine Lucas and Paul Bronson, and Mayor Miller presented each athlete with a certificate and thanked them for their hard work. Commissioner Lucas pointed out how proud we should all be of our young people for taking part in sports and working hard to make it to the top.  

 Commissioners also presented congratulatory certificates to the coaches and team moms. The coaches then gave each Commissioner and Mayor Miller their own Championship t-shirt.
