Get ready to activate your body and mind! Macon Mental Health Matters (MMHM) is bringing its Mental Health Pop-Up Gym to Memorial Park Recreation Center (2465 Second Street) on Saturday, September 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Bring your friends and families to this free event to participate in a yoga session, drum circle, and meditation. A therapist will also be on site for free consultations. This gym is for people of all ages.

“The Pop-Up events focus on creating easier opportunities for our community to access mental health care,” says MMHM Coordinator Andrea Cooke. “We want to reach everyone in our community, so bringing help directly to different neighborhoods is a big part of our mission. Please come out and learn why Macon Mental Health Matters!”

September 10 is the last day of National Suicide Prevention Week. MMHM will be partnering with The Link that Saturday to distribute information about the new three-digit Suicide and Crisis Lifeline 988.
