It’s HOT and we’re all ready to cool off! The Recreation Department is here to help. Pools officially open for the summer season on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 28. The six public pools are undergoing final inspections this week and next to make sure everything is in working order, and safe for everyone to come swim. Pools are open to anyone and everyone, and cost $1 per person, per day. Lifeguards will be on duty to keep an eye on the fun and jump in if needed.
“Our pools are one of our most popular features every year. As we all know, it gets hot here in Macon-Bibb, and we want to provide a fun and safe way to cool off,” says Recreation Director Robert Walker. “As with all our Recreation activities, we want to make sure everyone is safe while they play. Make sure you follow the posted rules and listen to the lifeguards.”
