Although many are back in school, summer isn’t over just yet! Our Recreation Department is giving you more opportunities to cool off by extending pools and splash pad season.

Pools at Delores A. Brooks Recreation Center (3326 Ocmulgee East Boulevard), Frank Johnson Recreation Center (2227 Mercer University Drive), and South Bibb Recreation Center (7035 Houston Road) every Saturday in August. The splash pads will also be open every Saturday through August at Daisy Park (1021 Daisy Park), Rosa Jackson Recreation Center (1211 Maynard Street), Freedom Park (3301 Roff Ave), and South Bibb Recreation Center.

“Since we’re still dealing with hot weather, we want to give families more opportunities to enjoy our pools and splash pads,” says Armand Burnett, Assistant Director of the Recreation Department. “We’re excited to offer this availability to our community!”

Pools and pads will be open Saturdays from 10:00am – 3:00pm. Pool entry is $1.
