The Recreation Department is holding its third ‘Picnic in the Park’ event at Carolyn Crayton Park. The family fun day and community picnic is happening from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10.
It’s free to attend, and will feature more than a dozen options of trucks and vendors for food, drinks, snacks, and other goodies. The first two events of this kind saw hundreds of people at the Park enjoying all it has to offer. There will be a tent set up for people to sit in the shade, and kids can enjoy the playgrounds and have a little extra fun in a foam pit! Trombone Love will provide the musical entertainment.
“We’re thrilled these Picnics in the Park are so popular for families,” says Recreation Senior Administrative Assistant Kalyn Collins. “Our county crews work hard to keep this park beautiful, and we’re happy to bring everyone out and enjoy all it has to offer!”
Some of the vendors coming this time are Gourmet Goodie Box, Guitarras Mexican Grill, Cuban Island Cafe, Jail Creek Farms Winery, Macon Water Ice, Shiver Shack Shaved Ice, and several more.
