In the newest episode of “On Call,” Macon-Bibb County introduces viewers to Jamie Davis, a Light Equipment Operator with the Parks & Beautification Department who helps keep roads safer for drivers across the community.
For the past eight to nine years, Davis has spent his days traveling throughout Macon-Bibb cutting low-hanging limbs and clearing overgrowth along roadsides to make sure vehicles, including school buses, can safely travel through neighborhoods and streets. Using equipment like bush hogs and tractors, Davis helps maintain visibility and accessibility on roads across the County.
The “On Call” series, produced and shot by Multimedia Manager Olivia Walter, gives residents a behind-the-scenes look at the County employees working every day to serve the community and keep operations running smoothly.
From operating heavy equipment to handling roadside maintenance, Davis’ work plays an important role in both safety and beautification efforts throughout Macon-Bibb County.
