Through Thursday, March 10, Macon-Bibb’s crews have collected 38,063 old trash and recycling carts. (This total does not include any that were picked up by ADS/Waste Management.) Crews have been helping pick up the carts since the former solid waste collection company was taking too long to remove them. The old carts belong to the former company.
“Our crews have done amazing work the past few weeks to get the old carts off our streets and help finish this transition,” says Mayor Lester Miller.
Please leave your empty and older trash and recycling carts on the curb until it is taken away. If you do not have a new red trash or blue recycling cart (both should be marked with the Ryland logo), you can put in a request at www.maconbibb.us/seeclickfix or by calling 866-898-4411 or 478-751-7400.
If people would like to immediately get rid of their old carts, they can take them to our temporary Convenience Center at 920 11th Street.
