More than two-dozen Macon-Bibb County roads will be re-paved or smoothed out thanks to a contract the Commission approved with Womack Paving Inc. More than $1.2 million will be used for full reclamation or deep path overlay on the following streets and roads. The improvements are being paid for from the state Local Maintenance & Improvement Grants, the Macon-Bibb general fund, and the voter-approved Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST).
