NAACP recognizes Mayor, Commission for efforts in community

During a Commission Meeting last month, President of the Macon-Bibb Branch National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Gwenette Westbrooks presented a plaque to Mayor Lester Miller and the Commission for their dedicated service and commitment in making a difference in the community.

“I want to thank you all for looking out for the community as a whole. We want to thank you for your dedication in providing safety,” said Westbrooks. “Thank you for stepping up to the plate.

Westbrooks also thanked the commission for their efforts in the Blight Fight, Public Safety, and other projects. You can watch the presentation here at marker 1:37:28.
