In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Macon-Bibb County Government offices will be closed on Monday, January 15. This includes the court system. Services such as E911, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, and Fire Department will all remain open and operational.

Garbage and recycling pickup will not occur on Monday, so it will be delayed a day. Monday pickup will happen Tuesday, Friday pickup will happen Saturday, January 20.

On Monday, January 15th, we encourage everyone to celebrate the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The annual march will take place at 11 a.m. from four locations near downtown, then converging at Government Center (700 Poplar Street.)
