Mayor Miller hosts holiday lunch for Council of Clergy

On Thursday, December 12, Mayor Lester Miller held the last Council of Clergy Luncheon of the year at the Macon Mall.

Speakers included Mayor Miller, Brian Cornett with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Warren Selby with Macon Regional Crimestoppers, and Laura Mathis with the Middle Georgia Regional Commission.

“We have had some great conversations with our Council this year and this final meeting was a great one to wrap up the year,” said Mayor Lester Miller. “It’s important to keep bringing our clergy together often to learn more about what each group is doing and more. We look forward to more growth and team work next year.”

The purpose of the Council of the Mayor’s Clergy is “Building a Better Community”. The vision of the Council of Clergy is to “Promote Unity in the Community by Partnering with Government and Related Agencies”. The Mission of the Council of Clergy is to “Build a Better Community by Fostering Healthy Racial Relations”.
