Your mental health matters during Mental Health Awareness Month and all other months of the year.
It matters to your family (home and work). Recognizing the month as Mental Health Awareness provides an opportunity to raise awareness around mental health issues and the stigma associated with receiving mental health services. Taking care of yourself is one of the most important things that can be done to improve overall health. It benefits your family, your career, your friends, and YOU, yet it is the most overlooked and neglected part of health and wellness. Mental health is wealth! Poor mental health leads to a greater risk of developing chronic physical conditions and…vice versa. The relationship between the two is undeniable.
