Macon-Bibb offices closed Friday ahead of 4th of July

Macon-Bibb County will observe Independence Day by closing all government offices, including the court system, on Friday, July 3, 2026.

Emergency and public safety services will remain operational, including the Fire Department, Sheriff’s Office, E-911, and Emergency Management Agency (EMA).

The 11th Street Convenience Center, which is normally open seven days a week, and the Fulton Mill Road Convenience Center, which is typically open Thursday through Saturday, will both be closed on Friday, July 3. The Ninadel Drive Convenience Center will remain open on its normal schedule. Click here to view normal hours of operation.

Ryland Environmental will operate on its regular schedule, and residential trash collection will not be affected. However, its administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 3.
