More than 100 people gathered at the Robert Train Building for a Lunch and Learn hosted by our Fire Department, Planning and Zoning, and SAFEbuilt to learn about how the contracting and permitting process works in the County. The Lunch and Learn happened on Tuesday, September 19.

“We had a really great turn out and I’m confident we accomplished our goal of informing contractors about what they need to do when building and making sure they are compliant with our County code,” said Fire Chief Shane Edwards. “We provided a complete overview of the process and direct contact information from each organization involved.”

There was a panel discussion that included Jeff Ruggiere with Planning and Zoning, Fire Chief Edwards, Warren Selby with the Appeals Board, and Eddie Moore, Casey Evans, Todd Hendricks, and Don Wilkins from SAFEBuilt.
