Macon-Bibb County District 3 Commissioner Elaine Lucas will host a Town Hall forum on Thursday, November 29 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Mount Moriah Baptist Church (2789 Millerfield Road). The public is invited to attend and ask questions, hear updates on projects in District 3 and around the county, and express concerns.

“The people in Macon-Bibb need to hear directly from their elected Commissioners and learn what we’re doing to help improve their community,” says Commissioner Lucas. “We also, as an elected body, hear from people to make sure what we’re doing is what they elected us to do.”

Confirmed to attend will be representatives from the Engineering Department, Solid Waste Department, Customer Service, and the County Manager’s Office. Engineering will be able to discuss the ongoing Jeffersonville Road Improvement Project, and Solid Waste will be able to discuss recent changes in how trash, recycling, and yard waste is picked up. The Customer Service Office will let people know how they can request services using the SeeClickFix mobile and online application.

Since Macon-Bibb County was created in January 2014, Commissioners have continued to hold public meetings to provide updates on the consolidated government, answer questions, hear concerns, and help solve any issues they may have in their neighborhood.
