Bibb County Schools celebrate Lights on Afterschool

The Bibb County School District celebrated Lights On Afterschool at Southwest High School on Thursday, October 6 with their afterschool programs.  

Dozens of students and county leaders, including Superintendent Dr. Dan Sims and Commissioner Elaine Lucas, gathered in the auditorium for their celebration.  

Lights On Afterschool is a national celebration of afterschool programs which will be held on October 20, 2022, across the country. It promotes the importance of quality afterschool programs in the lives of children, families, and communities. The Macon-Bibb County Before and After School Programs are committed to investing in the health and safety of all young people by providing expanded learning opportunities that will help our children learn and grow, while helping them develop the skills essential for success in life and work.
