During the Commission meeting last Tuesday, Mayor Lester Miller and the Commission presented Girls Dig Deeper Initiative and U Create Macon with a proclamation to declare Lights on After School Day on October 26. You can view the proclamation here.  

 Girls Dig Deeper Initiative and U Create Macon have provided significant leadership in the area of community involvement in the education and well-being of our youth, grounded in the principle that quality afterschool programs are key to helping our children become successful adults.  Girls Dig Deeper Initiative and U Create Macon believe in the power of mentoring by providing the support and guidance all young girls and boys need to dig deep and create within themselves to maximize their full potential.
