For Black History Month, the Offices of Community Affairs, Small Business Affairs, and Communications are recognizing and celebrating African American leaders in our community with a #LegacyOfLeadership campaign.

Throughout the month of February, past and present will be highlighted on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram with a brief bio, a quote, or a combination of th

e two showing the impact they had on our community.

“We are celebrating both the people whose shoulders we stand on and the people who are standing on those shoulders,” says Community Affairs Executive Director Dr. Henry Ficklin. “While we are thankful for the leadership provided in the past and today throughout the entire year, Black History Month is our chance to focus on them even more…to really recognize their contributions, both big and small.”

Join us in celebrating and remembering these leaders by sharing these posts with your friends and family.
