Like spending time outdoors and on the water?
Want to help people have a good time as families?
Interested in protecting public safety?

Then send in your application to be a Ranger at our beautiful Lake Tobesofkee. Pay starts at $38,001.60, and you’ll be responsible for patrolling campgrounds, regulating the waterways, making sure people are safe, and more at three different parks and on the water itself.

“This is a great way to work with people while enjoying nature and a gem of our recreation system, the lake,” says Lake Tobesofkee Director Donald Bracewell. “With all the improvements we’ve made the past few years – new pickleball courts, pavilions, bathrooms, and more – people are rediscovering us, and we need your help to make sure they can have a great time.”

Lake Tobesofkee spans nearly 1,800 acres with 35 miles of shoreline and has three public parks – Sandy Beach, Claystone, and Arrowhead – featuring white sandy beaches, playgrounds, open air and enclosed pavilions, campground for tents, RV sites with full hook-ups, and more. People enjoying the lake can cycle, run, camp, water ski, sail, have a picnic, swim, fish, play a game of disc golf, and more.

“This is a truly one of the most beautiful places in Middle Georgia, and it’s amazing our jobs allow us to enjoy it every day,” adds Bracewell.
