KMBB hosts Bring One for the Chipper

On Saturday, January 6, people from all over Macon-Bibb County brought their old Christmas trees to Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful (KMBB) who provided a safe and recyclable way to dispose of them. KMBB held its annual “Bring One for the Chipper” event in partnership with COX, Georgia Power, Coca-Cola, Home Depot, and Macon-Bibb County. 

KMBB and the team collected 161 Christmas trees from people who came to the event. They shredded each tree and returned the mulch to each person who brought a tree.  

“This event has been a tradition in our community for 33 years,” said KMBB Executive Director Asha Ellen. “This year’s turnout was amazing! Despite the cold and rain, we had a great turnout. We mulched 30 more trees in 2024 compared to 2023.”
