The community is invited to celebrate freedom, culture, and unity during the Juneteenth Parade hosted by Macon Black Culture on Sunday, June 21, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in Downtown Macon.
The parade will bring together local organizations, community groups, performers, and residents to honor Juneteenth and celebrate the rich history, resilience, and contributions of African Americans.
The parade route will begin on Cherry Street, travel to Second Street, continue onto Poplar Street, and end on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
To accommodate the parade, several streets will be temporarily affected from 11:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.:
- Cherry Street from Fifth Street to First Street
- Second Street from Plum Street to Mulberry Street
- Poplar Street from First Street to Fifth Street
- Fifth Street from Oglethorpe Street to Mulberry Street
