Commission Meeting, trash pickup schedule changed
Since the July 4 holiday is on a Tuesday this year, the Macon-Bibb Commission voted to give county workers July 3 off as a paid holiday as well. Government offices will be closed and emergency services will be maintained both days.Solid Waste collection (garbage, recycling, and yard waste) will be on a different schedule that week because of the holiday. The landfill and Solid Waste offices will be closed both Monday and Tuesday, July 3 and 4.

Also, because the first Tuesday of each month is when we hold our Commission Meetings, it was decided the meeting scheduled for July 4 would be moved to Wednesday, July 5, at 6:00 p.m. It will be held in Commission Chambers and will be streamed live online.
